The Millhopper Middle School Chapter of National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is associated with the famed National Honor Society. NJHS is by invitation only and recognizes for junior high or middle school students who exemplify the qualities of scholarship, leadership, character, and service within their academic careers. Membership is by invitation only, based on the student’s academic grades and respectability. At Millhopper Montessori Middle School a student must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.65, show leadership, provide service, have good character, and demonstrate upright citizenship. A panel of 5 faculty members will examine the student’s records and considered the student for membership based on these qualities. 6th graders will be voted in after the first 2 grading periods, and 7th and 8th graders can become members at that time as well. The Induction Ceremony for all new members will be held in the spring.
