Our garden was started during 6th grade environment studies of plants, how they grow, plant varieties, hybrids and the science behind it. The garden was a labor of love as we restored planting areas and planted. It allowed us to get out and work and get our hands dirty.
From the garden to the study of plants in the classroom, we created our own hybrid plant, and designed it in a 3D program: Tinkercad.
Tinkercad is a free, easy-to-use web app that equips the next generation of designers and engineers with the foundational skills for innovation: 3D design, electronics, and coding!
We were able to name our creation and had to explain why the hybrid may or may not work based on our research. We presented our hybrid plants and explained our research and why we chose to create the hybrid.
